RFP 2019/CDS/HIV/001 to create a roster for short and longer term consultants for technical assistance support on HIV and Hepatitis

The Department HIV and Hepatitis needs to establish a pre-qualified roster of consultants who are able to provide technical assistance over a wide range of areas related to HIV and Hepatitis prevention, care & treatment, strategic information, and programme management. Under these technical areas, we need consultants who can assist with norms and standards, and technical support to LMICs. The department is creating a roster of pre-qualified selected consultants to strengthen a rapid response to technical assistance needs in headquarters, regional offices and country offices.

This is an application process for creating a roster of pre-qualified consultants (short - less than three months -, and longer term), to provide technical assistance over a wide range of areas related to HIV and Hepatitis prevention, care & treatment, and strategic information. The department is creating a roster of qualified consultants and pre-selected international consultants to strengthen a rapid response to technical assistance needs in headquarters, regional offices and country offices.

Please note that applicant CVs should be in line with the main programme areas:

  1. Prevention HIV & Hepatitis

  2. Treatment & Care HIV & Hepatitis

  3. Strategic Information HIV & Hepatitis

  4. Management HIV & Hepatitis


How to apply:

Each area as mentioned above is divided into a) Norms and Standards and b) technical support to Low-Middle Income Countries.

Please submit a cover letter indicating for which specific area (s) you wish to be considered.

For example:

  1. Treatment and Care HIV

2.1 Norms and standards

2.1.3 Triple Elimination.

Provide daily rate (include all cost usually needed for the consultancy into the daily rate except for reimbursables, as assignment or duty travel).

Attach a detailed CV (preferably a WHO Stellis CV (please go to https://www.who.int/). The CV should indicate area(s) of expertise, language knowledge, country experience, publications and three references.

If your CV is relevant it will be entered into a data base and as soon as there is an assignment you will be notified, and you can indicate if you are interested and available.

This roster will include pre-qualified CVs for HIV and Hepatitis consultancies, with an objective to shorten the competitive selection process through other more general WHO system.
