Netherlands: Financial sustainability advisory consultant for 160 days in the period 1/3/2020 - 31/12/2020

International travel by consultant is required

The financial sustainability advisory consultant is requested to sustain and develop the financial sustainability support to the Netherlands Red Cross (NLRC) strategic Red Cross partners (Zambia, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Benin), shape the financial sustainability vision and its model further for the new NLRC strategy 2030. The consultant will liaise within NLRC with the Unit lead of the strategic partnership unit, the country reps in the different partnership countries, with the Workplace first aid/Business development advisor, the institutional RM coordinator, our marketing and fundraising department and the Community of Volunteers. Within the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement the consultant will liaise with other Red Cross Societies and partners who have developed an expertise on the theme (Norwegian RC, Finnish RC, Australian RC, IFRC and ICRC) to shape the NLRC strategy further but also contribute to the wider Movement strategy around financial sustainability.

  1. Strategic Partnership Support to Partner Countries (Zambia, Ivory Coast, Benin ,Ethiopia)

  2. Strategy support: vision and model development.

  3. Advise on countries within NLRC partnership portfolio to receive financial sustainability support + develop a budget.

  4. Put financial sustainability on the agenda in NLRC: actively liaise internally and with community of volunteers.

  5. Movement relations : participate in movement meetings on financial sustainability and contribute to the wider movement strategy on financial sustainability
